This girl is one of my best friends. Over the summer I have helped her through all of her issues with her boyfriend. They were very unstable at the time, but now seem to be better. She is now happier than ever with him. I recently heard from his cousin that that summer, he had sex with another girl. Apparently his best friend told his cousin, and she told me. This would absolutely crush her. I'm not exactly positive of the total truth to the story. Out of everyone that "knows" I'm the only one that really and truly cares for this girl. Should I confront her boyfriend? Should I tell her? I don't know how to get all the facts. This would completely ruin their 3 year relationship.. What should I do if I'm not sure? ~ Helpp

What do you do? You stay out of it. As far as you know it's only a rumor with no truth behind it. It's really none of your business so don't create drama.

You have no facts, and should not spread rumors, so do nothing.

Purple, you sound like a caring person. The reason you are asking is because you would want to know if you were ever in her shoes and someone knew something about your boyfriend, right?

J 9 and talaniman said you have no facts, only rumours. I agree... but to a point. You obviously have more reason to believe that there's truth to what was said beyond what you wrote in your question. The details in which you were told by the cousin were probably more elaborate and contained information that might have led you to believe that what was said was true.

I do agree with them that you should leave it, because the truth will always come out, eventually. So the girlfriend that you care about will one day figure him out on her own. If it's eating you up inside, however, and you need to get it our of your system, ask the cousin (his cousin, nonetheless, so she must not be happy about what he did) what facts she has and if you have 100% proof, make a decision at that point. Like I said before, I agree to leave things and let the truth come out by itself, but cheating for me is disgusting and should never be tolerated. It kills the person being cheated on and if he gets away with it once, he may very well do it again. It's not fair for your friend.

I hope things work out best for you and your friend. p.s. What goes around comes around... if he did cheat on her, he's going to get a taste of his own medicine one day. Don't know when and don't know how, but he will. You can bet on it.
