    Workout nutrition
I am a very committed person, but very busy. I only have two 25 lb dumbells, and one 10 lb disc ( looks like a disc). I decided to weight train three times a week, but only have time to around 10 pm. I do curls, push-ups, crunches, leg lifts, pull ups, and accordians. Someone has told me that I should eat some kind of protein after my workouts. Because eating late can cause some weight gain, I don't eat anything after my workouts. So my questions are... is the not eating anything after my workouts OK? What else can I do with my weights? Please help me.

Sounds like you are trying to gain muscle mass without the weight gain. All the work you are doing sounds great. Just add more reps as you get more conditioned. I think I read your post as indicating that you are concern about gaining weight so have decided not to eat after working out!? As you gain muscle mass they will burn more calories than fat cells burn. If you decide to skip an after workout meal, then be sure to eat a healthy breakfast. A good filler for that late evening snack would be a Slimfast which has very low calories (180 and provides your body with 10grams of protein which is about 20% of your bodies needs) and would help to satisfy your muscles request for some food. You can get a harder workout for your push-ups if you put your feet on a solid chair when in the pushup position. It puts more of your body weight on you arms. But you are already doing pull-ups which I think is harder anyway. Congrats on getting yourself in shape -- Ace
