How do I get the lower housing off my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan.
My fan is not a pull chain style. It has 1 lense (obscure glass 10" diameter. and a metal frame 12" diameter which I think is screwed onto th main body of the fan. The arrow on the housing indicate --turn to the left. I can't seem to get enough traction to make it rotate. My fan works but I need to get to my light bulb. Any suggestions? The model number of the fan is AC527(AER525LKRC)"NN". THANKS--FRED

Put your palm facing up againist the globe push up slightly and give a sharp twist counterclockwise.

In order to change the fan blades on the AER525LKRC Harbor Breeze fan, the fan must be removed from the ceiling. Remove the six bolts securing the round metal trim ring to the top of the unit. Lift the cover and the 3 bolts for each of the fan blades will now be accessible.

I am fairly certain MyMoron does not want to remove the blades, just the globe so he can replace the bulb.

We have a harbor breeze ceiling fan. The blades have quit turning but the motor continues to hum when switch is on. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be? I called Lowe's and they told me to turn the blades by hand with the switch off and if I heard a buzz it was probably the ball...

Harbor Breeze Avian Ceiling Fan - Noise, warped housing [ 3 Answers ]

I recently purchased two Harbor Breeze Avian Ceiling Fans from Lowe's. I noticed they had a discounted price and that a couple of the fans in stock were obviously returned, so I was a little suspicious. I installed one of them (lousy directions), and while I really like the look of the fan and the...

My husband connected our ceiling fan/light and it has a remote control. By turning on the switch in our bedroom, the fan/light does not work. But if you click on the remote control and leave the switch to 'on' it worked. That worked for a week. Now it has stopped completely. No fan no light!!...

Harbor breeze ceiling fan [ 1 Answers ]

I replaced the pull switch for fan motor. In the process of rewiring the new pull switch, the black wire from old switch was not connected, so when I replaced with new switch I connected black wires. The light works but fan doesn't. The switch is a 4-wire pull chain switch.
