    Furnace
    I shorted out my "HOT SURFACE IGNITER ACCDENTALLY". My furnace will not work. The control box was not connected at the time. The fan relay is ok. What must i check?

    How did you short your hot surface igniter? By control box, you mean thermostat? If your hot surface igniter is shorted then take it to your nearest hvac supply store and get a new one. They also have universal ones that will work just fine. If this doesn't answer your question give me more details and I'll try and help you as best I can.
