Adding a switch to an existing outlet outside.
I have an existing outlet outside that I want to be switched. What do I need to do?
Do I run new wire from the outlet to the switch then back to the outlet?

    Shut off power to outlet.

Remove black wire from outlet and wire nut to white wire from switch. Mark white wire at switch and outlet box with black tape.

Hook black wire from switch to outlet where u removed black wire from outlet.

    Turn on power.

    Chuck
