Earlier today my husband and I smelled a horriable odor coming from our basement. When we walked down there we saw feces and water all around the drainage hole in the floor. This hole also has a drainage pipe going into it from our washer and one from the small shower we have down there. My boys do flush a lot of paper down the toilet and I do not always get all the food out of the sink before running water while doing dishes. We just had to buy a motor for our car so money is tight. Can we just poor some draino or ridx down the hole or do we need to call a plumber?

You have clogged main sewer line. You have to have it snaked. For now, try not to use toilets if possible bcs every time you flush it will come out in your basement. Call drain cleaning company ASAP...
