    Braeburn thermostat reads -AC
    The air is not coming on and the thermostat reads -AC?

    The "-" may mean No and the AC may be no AC power.

    This may suggest a tripped breaker, a blown fuse on the control board or a bad step down transfomer.

    For, now I'm guessing.

    Is outside condenser unit working?
    If so feel the biggest of the 2 copper lines going into the house,is it very cool or cold?

We just purchased a hunter thermostat model 44760 to replace the old thermostat when our a/c went out and it reads no a/c power. We have a trane heat pump.
