    Can you connect red & black to cgfi
    I have split plugs in my kitched since they are near the sing I would like to change to cgfi.
    My question is can they still be split with this type of receptor?
    The wire type is 14-3 red-black and white.

    No, you need to use a two-pole GFI breaker.

    You can cap the red or black and use a GFI receptacle.
    If you cap the red on 1 receptacle, cap the black on the next.
    2 Recepticles per circuit in the Kitchen.
