Can you connect red & black to cgfi
I have split plugs in my kitched since they are near the sing I would like to change to cgfi.
My question is can they still be split with this type of receptor?
The wire type is 14-3 red-black and white.
    Thank you

No, you need to use a two-pole GFI breaker.

You can cap the red or black and use a GFI receptacle.
If you cap the red on 1 receptacle, cap the black on the next.
2 Recepticles per circuit in the Kitchen.
