    Sheltie Odd behavior
My 1 1/2 year old sheltie used to run around the yard where ever now when she walks a short distance sniffing the ground and then will stop and turn around. She does this many times. She will run across the lawn anywhere if she sees someone outside our fence, but will seem to pick her way back. I can call her to a spot on the lawn but as soon as she reaches me she turns around and trots back to the patio. This is all to find a spot to relieve herself. Is the yard becoming too saturated with urine. We pick up her poop everyday. When I take her for a walk in the park she goes anywhere. What's the answer?

I'm a little confused, are you saying she won't relieve herself in the yard anymore?

I'm pretty sure that your yard isn't saturated with urine, that would be hard to do.

It sounds to me like she might just be getting picky. Did you used to have another animal? Maybe she is looking for a scent to cover and not finding anything. The park of course is filled with scents.

I have 2 dogs and cats and squirrels are always roaming in my yard, so they always find something.

We do have a couple of dog experts here, that will get to your question.

Sorry I couldn't be more help:)
