    Hunter fan model 23457
My light works, my fan doesn't, checked the wires, all are still connected. This fan has worked great for several years. This unit has remote, when I try to turn the fan on I get a click no turning blades. Looked into the lower housing, saw a brief spark when trying to turn fan on again, then blades spun for a second then nothing. What needs replacing?

I think you have an poor connection in lower housing. It's possible the spinning blades cause the connection to open.

Turn the power off to the fan when checking the wiring.

Coming out of the canopy receiver is a white shared by both fan and light. Blue wire goes to the light and a black to the fan. Insure the black and the white are both securely held with a tight wire nut
