    Well known attractive male & female stars. He is a (coal?) miner; his wife is a saucy type, and her mother is Indian. Black & white film. By looks of her clothing (peddle-pushers) , it's 50's

    Are you perhaps thinking of "Foxfire" 1955 with Jeff Chandler and Jane Russell? He is a half-Apache mining engineer. His mother is portrayed as a native american princess--Celia Lovsky as Princess Saba.
