Troubleshooting control boards for goodman furnaces
Unit runs fine for 3-7 days, then screen on digital thermostat goes blank and unit shuts off for about another 5 days,then all of sudden unit runs fine,problem not batteries for thermostat! When unit stops there's no power to thermostat, sounds like control board problem,have anyone heard of this problem before,how can I troubleshoot control board? please advise, now unit won't start ,been off for about a week, a/c started 2 weeks ago ,ran fine for for 3 days , shut off and has'nt started since.

After 4 or 5 cycles the exhaust fan will come on as normal for about 1 minute and the burners will go out. The exhaust fsan will continue to run for 2 or 3 minutes then the inside circulation fan comes on with heated air and a very strong hot metal smell. What is the problem?

I am looking to replace my furnace/AC in the next couple of months. Goodman has been recommended to me by my furnace guy. In doing some research on the internet, it seems that they are not rated very high and have several repair issues. Any comments on the brand?
