No, I don't really think anger management would work with violent criminals, at least not the repeat criminals or those who committed murder. It would be a waste of time and money to coddle these criminals any further.

No, depending on the type and method as to how effective it even is at all. After that it only helps those that want help, many offenders don't even want to admit they were wrong

    Hi, jeanine123!

Do you mean those that were convicted of a violent crime because they were angry at the time? Or, maybe those that because of being incarcerated have subsequently become violent? Also, do you mean "most" or "the most", please?

I think that further defining as to the type of individuals about which you're inquiring would be helpful.

Thousands of people go through anger management counseling/training on a regular basis. Maybe going through that sort of program was imposed by a court, suggested by a family counselor or maybe even an employer.

For a lot of them, it works. A lot of them haven't been convicted of a crime while they were angry whereas some of them might have been convicted.

I went through anger management counseling/training almost three decades ago. It was because of things that were happening in my marriage as well as my immediate as well as extended family. Because of my actions, I was hurting others as well as myself. The type of "hurt" took a number of different forms...

    The program worked for me!

    Thanks!

    Hello j:

Sure it could. I wouldn't replace prison with it just yet, though.
