    Nordyne heatpump/nodang workpump
    My mother has a "heat-pump" that is approximately 3yrs old.
    Over the past few days the air conditioning hasn't been cooling much... the thermostat is set to "auto" at 70-75 degrees, yet the inside temp stays closer to 80. Then last night we had a fairly chilly evening, so my mother switched over to the "heat"... set to 72 degrees, while room temp stayed in the low to mid 60's. The filters are in good shape, the outside unit is pretty much clean, and the indoor unit runs as well, just no heating or cooling is happening. I looked at the copper pipes that go into the unit, and both were same temp pretty much... no warm/cold/sweat... so, what now?
    Please please please help out in any way you can, all of our funds are LOW, and if possible, I would like to attempt (reasonable) repairs. Here is where Im at on this thing... looks like its working right, sounds like its working right, but the dang thing don't feel like its working at all.

    Sounds like you may be low on freon.

    And when you get it checked out, they should also find out why you are low on freon,, freon doesn`t wear out or evaporate,if its low there must be a leak somewhere
