    Colitis in Dogs
My little blue pit bull was just recently diagnosed with Colitis :( I have done a lot of research and reading up on this disease in dogs... I have narrowed it down to her type, which more commonly found in dogs who are suffering from anxiety. The vet has her on 165 mg of Baytril a day and a special diet that is high fiber and low fat. My blue is nothing but skin and bones with sores on her feet from infection of the skin... She responded to the medication literally over night and is seeming to get perkier every day...

My question.. has anyone lived with a dog with Colitis? And does anyone know of a good food that is high fiber/low fat? I fail to believe the Purina makes good prescription food. (All my dogs are on Innova).

    Poor, poor pittie :(
