    1998 sebring slow going into gear
    I have a 1998 sebring that hums before it goes into first gear after that it will shift into the next gear. [email protected]

    Does it hum because it doesn't know the words? :eek:

    Seriously, does the noise you hear seem to come from the transmission?
    Have you checked/changed the transmission fluid regularly?

    after that it will shift into the next gear.
    Do you mean that it shifts normally once engaged?

    Warm the engine and transmission thoroughly and check the transmission fluid level. Adjust to the proper level and repeat the roadtest, if necc.
