    Ceiling fan won't turn but light works perfectly
    I recently bought a new house. When we did the walk-through inspection the day before closing (a Monday), the bedroom ceiling fan ran perfectly. When I moved in on the following Saturday, it wouldn't work. The light on the fan works just fine, but the ceiling fan won't turn. Can you tell me what might be wrong? Thank you :)

    Someone may have pulled the pull chain on the fan. You should have 2 pull chains, one for the light and one for the fan to control the 3 speeds. Try that first.
