    Projection TV no picture
I have a phillips rear projection TV about 5 years old the model # is 55PW9383 17F. The TV appears to have sound (I can hear white noise hiss) but no picture all crts are dead. I checked the horizontal output transistor and it ohms out good. Is the problem on the high voltage board and is it fixable or should I just purchase a new high voltage board?

How do you know you have sound if you only have hiss? The sound is separated from the signal earlier in the process. You should have real sound.

You need to check the outputs from the power supply first. Are the voltages correct?

Anything's fixable, but the cost may be the bigger problem.

Phillips 55"projection TV picture is horrible. [ 2 Answers ]

We just purchased a 8yr old Phillips 55"projectin TV from a friend, once we moved it to our house the picture is horrible. Looks like a bright light on the screen and the colors are all out of order. We've tried adjusting everything like the manual says and nothing works. Any suggestions?
