    Complicated situation with best friend
Ok, so I'm going to cut to the chase... Me and one of my best girl mates have been hanging out quite a lot recently- just talking about life, relationships and the trouble she's having with this guy. Things just felt so normal- but I started to notice her look at me differently, and she would make the effort to get closer to me in conversation. I made nothing of it and just responded positively to everything she did. Then all of a sudden, she started getting really close to my face and then out of nowhere we were kissing. I have no idea how it happened, but I just went with it. We spent a while kissing and then talking and things just felt so right in the wrongest of ways. Its not that I didn't want this to happen, I just don't know if I feel comfortable with it.

I did speak to her in the car on the way home after kissing her some more, and told her that I don't want anything to change between us, and she sarcastically said "it already has". She also started making jokes about me telling her I wanted to be single, and now this has happened. Which kind of scares me because not only am I afraid that she wants to be with me, but I've just come out of a relationship myself where we were really close. Im not sure that this is what I want, and am thinking of telling her this before its too late.

Another thing is that me, my ex, my best friend (the one I'm talking about), and the guy she is trying to be with; all work together which would make things tres awkward if things got out.

I guess what I'm asking is; have any of you been in a similar situation? If so, how have you dealt with it? Any extra advice would be appriciated.

    Thanks

Well, you're making it more complicated than it has to be.

Keeping in mind that you just got out of a relationship and you want to recover. Just ask yourself, how do you feel about this girl? Do you think there is potential in the future?

If yes, then let her know that you see a future, but you want to slow it down because you just got out of a relationship. If she likes you, she will understand and will wait for you to recover.

If no future, then let her know, so that you don't lead her on.
