    Ceiling Fan Installation
In my ceiling junction box is a red copper wire, black wire and a white wire which was attached to a light, but the red copper wire was not attached to anything in the junction box.

I now have purchased a ceiling fan with a light and it s has a black wire, white wire, green wire and a black and white wire.

Which wires do I attached together?

Is the red copper wire bare, or does it have red plastic on it like the black and white wires?

Do you have more than one wall switch that can control this box? Is the box already grounded or is there a green or bare wire passing through the box?
