    Vessel sinks
Can I use a drain with overflow on a sink without overflow. When I put them together, the holes are under the sink.

    Hi lpbreton:

You are correct to be curious... ;) What you need here is a VESSEL SINK DRAIN.. see pictures below.

They come in a few flavors...

    Flip-top (1st pic.)
    Pop-up (mushroom head) (2nd pic.)
    Grid styles (3rd pic.)
Or lift and twist (last pic.)...

There are a number of different types

The flip-top and Pop-up styles are best. They can usually be found at home depot, Lowe's or Menards stores nowadays... ;)

I do not recommend the grid strainer.

If your faucet has a pop-up rod then you just place it into the hole in the faucet and leave it there for looks only.

Let me know if you have any questions...
