    Broken Vessel?
I saw this movie like probably mid 90's early 2000. It is about a paramedic and an ambulance driver. One of the two main characters is a newbie and the older gets the newbie addicted to heroin. The story basically revolves around their mis adventures. There is also a junkie bakes trays upon trays of cookies.. and eventually blows up her house. The older of the main characters was ripping off his dealer.. and eventually gets caught.. . they get their drugs in balloon form and he tucks one back behind his open hand.. the dealer calls him out.. turns over his hand to reveal the tucked up balloon and then point blank shoots his hand. I'm not sure what this movie was called.. it was an HBO original at the time... someone told me it was called Broken Vessel.. but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.. so I don't think that's the name.

I'd have to guess that this is Broken Vessels from 1998.
