    Ceiling Fan turns backwards
During hurricane IKE the power went off then came back on and when it came back on the ceiling fan was turning backwards. The power finally went out for good, but when it came back on it still was turning backwards. We just replaced it with another fan and it turns the right direction (Same Wiring). I moved the other fan thinking it would work at a different location. It still turns backwards. This is a Hampton Bay fan that has a remote module and remote but I never installed it. I wired it directly with the blue, black and white wires. It doesn't have a fan reverse switch like most fans. I did take the top cover plate off the fan and it has two little black boxes under it. I don't really won't to get rid of it, so any help would appreciated!

The reverse module is in the fan and it got tricked by the storm. You can use the remote to reverse it back, or cut the fan off and on while spinning the blades in the right directions, you may trick it again.
