Ceiling fan turns on and off spontaneously
My ceiling fan is turning on and off by itself. I have removed battery from the remote and it still happens. Any suggestions?

Both your remote sending unit and the receiving unit have a series of small dip switches that set the code. Move the same switch on both receiver and transmiter to the opposite of what it is now, that gives you a new code. I'm chuckling as I read your post. My son had the same problem. Drove him nuts. It was a bedroom fan and he would wake up in the middle of the night freezing from the fan being on. Turns out it was his neighbor. They had installed the same fan and remote control. He was controlling theirs, and they were controlling his. A simple switch of the DIP switches cured it.

My DISH starting oing totally nuts a montn ago and would turn the TV to WWW Raw all of the time. Then I noticed my neighbor got DISH too and they love wrestling. Sure enough we had remotes on the same frequency. He woneered why his TV was going to the History channel so often.

You need to change the frequency of the fan and remote.
