    Small claims dilema
I won a judgement in small claims court and want to try and collect it without an enforcement officer. The person who owes me the money owns nothing, (not even a car) the only money he has he receives through an insurance company for a settlement he received. He receives monthly payments and then approximately every six months he receives a bigger check. I was wondering if there is any way to collect this judgement on my own? I know the name of his lawyer and the name of the insurance company through which he receives his payments. I would appreciate any assistance anyone could give me.

    Thanks

    John

You would file a lien on his bank account. When the money is deposted, it's forwarded to you.

His Lawyer and the insurance company cannot discuss this with you.

You could also file a lien on the insurance company payment and see how that plays out - depends on the State and the reason for the payments.
