    What is the affect on permanence residence in canada of divorce with the sponsor
    If someone had a divorce with sponsor, did it affect permanent residence in canada

    Well from my understanding you re saying no papers were filed and the ex husband does not want to sponsor you...

    Well then there is nothing you can do, he is not and will not sponsor you so you cannot get permanent residence through him.

    If papers were filed and accepted this would be a different story.

    Ohhh, this is different, you made it sound like you had not received the reply from CIC yet. You may be eligible to re-file under another status and actually the original sponsor may still be responsible for your case, call CIC (Canadian Immigration) and ask what can be done.
