If someone had a divorce with sponsor, did it affect permanent residence in canada
Have the papers been filed and accepted yet?
No not yet
If the papers have not been filed is the sponsor still wiling to sponsor you?
No he is not ready to do so
Well from my understanding you re saying no papers were filed and the ex husband does not want to sponsor you...
Well then there is nothing you can do, he is not and will not sponsor you so you cannot get permanent residence through him.
If papers were filed and accepted this would be a different story.
But I already got the permanent resident card 4 month ago
I want to know that I have my permanent resident with me and after my divorce if I live for three years whether I can apply for my citizenship of Canada.please reply
Ohhh, this is different, you made it sound like you had not received the reply from CIC yet. You may be eligible to re-file under another status and actually the original sponsor may still be responsible for your case, call CIC (Canadian Immigration) and ask what can be done.
