    Re-routing kitchen plumbing
I am currently remodeling my kitchen. I would like to knock out the wall where the kitchen sink/plumbing is and install an island. The sink would remain in that same place except it would be placed in the island. How do I re-route the vent?

This is calledl a island sink vent and can be installed one of two ways. One is a regular island vent,(see image) and the other is a simpler version using a AAV,(see image). If a permit will be pulled check with your Building Department to see if you can use a AAV. If you'renot going to be inspected then it's your choice. Good luck, Tom

Our objective is to use the additional space to expand the existing ensuite bathroom, most notably add a walk-in shower. This expanded...
