How do I find out if my ex husband gave up his parental rights to another child of his?We are not speaking and he is trying to take me to court to get our parenting plan amended.As of now he is not allowed to see our children.That is my rule.He was having supervised visits every other weekend but has since been in jail, so I terminated those visits.My new husband wants to adopt our children and we found out that one way for his parental rights to be terminated is if he gave up his parental rights to another child.His mother(when we were on speaking terms)told me that he no longer has parental rights with that child.But since we are not speaking I can't find out for sure.

Require him to funish the info in court though a motion for that information? Contact the mother of that child ( it is not easy to give up rights) ** or really have your attorney contact the mother of the child and call her as a court witness ifneeded.

Also in many states you can take away their rights if they go to prison.
