    20 amp circuit
I am wiring a 20amp circuit with 12-2 wire for a laundry room. Total of 3 oulets, the first outlet Being GFI. From what I understad you can use 15amp receptacles on a 20 amp circuit. Should the GFI be a 20amp or 15amp, and is it OK for the 2 outlets downstream to be 15amp.

While true 20 amp appliances may be rare, and 15 amp receptacles can be used on a 20 amp circuit, splurge and use all 20 amp receptacles on this laundry circuit. However, any or all of the receptacles can be 15 amp rated.
