Converting 15 anp circuit into 20 amp circuit
I just bought a treadmill. The problem is it doesn't work where I want it to. It can only run on 20 amps but all my outlets use 15 amps. It keeps tripping the breaker. Can I easily convert my outlet to a 20 amp?

The entire circuit will need to be rated 20 amps, including the breaker and the wire. If the wire is #12, then just need to change the breaker and outlet. I doubt the wire is #12, so an entire new cable will need to be installed for this outlet.

And, if the outlet is in a bedroom, the breaker will need to be an Arc Fault breaker.
