    Craftman LT2000 - 917.255751
    I have had my craftsman lt2000 for 2 years it runs fine and drives, but at the end of last year you had to jiggle to the mower deck to get the blades to engage once the lever was set to mow. This year the mower deck does not engage when you engage the lever it pulls a cable that goes taught and pulls a spring that is attached to the pulley.

    Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks.

    See if you can lube it up.

    CRAFTSMAN, Model No. 917275751 is the correct model, made a mistake the other day, lubed the cable with no change, also note there is a grey switch under the engage lever, may be this switch is bad, however if the lever is engaged the mower will not start but if disengaged mower starts but then after engaging lever mower does not engage deck.
