    Sears LT2000 Clutch
Got a Sears LT2000 Lawn Tractor when the kids moved to town replacing my trusty mtd 38inch tractor. Be that as it may I find the clutch to be very tight in that when releasing the pressure on the pedal the mower jerks and does not have the range or finesse to gradually go up a hill where I need control to avoid running over the large roots of our oak tree. When I try to get the mower to slowly go up the hill, even slower than first gear, the belts squeal, and actually can get some smoking from the belts.

So my question, is there anyway to adjust the sensitivity of the clutch/brake pedal on the sears LT 2000 lawn tractor.

Could be that you are not engaging the belt enough, and just the edges are gripping and with the strain the belt is smoking.
