I have a big problem, I believe I'm in love with this boy. I don't see him that much but when I do see him I can't stop thinking, or looking at him. He's the guy all the girls want. He is ( pardon my french ) an , and a jerk. The first time I really hung out with him, I was at my friends birthday party playing spin the bottle and he had a girlfriend, and cheated on her... I didn't really like him that much then , until about 1 or 2 years later, at another party he was staring at me, and I thought he was really cute. So I keep staring at him and everything and by the end of the night we were talking, flirting, and since then ( about 2 months ago ) I can't stop thinking about him, can't stop talking about him to my friends, and when my friends talk about other guys, no one can even come close to compare to him. I love him I think strongly, but he won't even like me or anything because why should I matter to him if he could have any girl he wants? What should I do? I talked to his best friend asking him if I should ask him out, but he says not to, and how am I supposed to get over him? Or get him to notice me? ( We don't go to the same school, yet we know almost the same people ) I really want him. And yes I've heard I'm too young to "love" but I'm not ( I'm 13 almost 14), or too young to have a boyfriend. But what should I do. Please help, I'm DESPRETE !

Listen you dont nothing. You listen at least reason why it wouldnt be a good idea to date him. If you are going to date at least date someone that is not a jerk and will not cheat on you.

Your story is filled with many examples of you saying "He's not a good guy, how can I get him to like me?"

Do you not see that? What would you say to your best friend if she asked you how to get the attention of the guy in school everyone knows is cheating-liar-nogood? You'd try to talk some sense into her, wouldn't you?

The fact that you like him is unfortunate, but think about it... did you DECIDE to like him or did it just happen? It just happened, didn't it? See, you can't control who you like. It's just going to happen.

But you have to be a smart girl and only allow yourself to actually pursue guys that are the good ones. You have to shake yourself when you're attracted to guys you know are bad or are bad for you.

That's what it means to grow up and have serious guy friends. It means you're smart about it.

Well, then the best you can envision for yourself is a "player's girl"? My original post is still my best response for you. Succeed at landing this boy and you most likely succeed in landing a miserably bad time for you.

But, maybe you're different from everyone else and can succeed where most fail and change him. *sigh* Good luck and God speed, dear. Just keep your head, that's all I ask.

I know how you feel... if you read my Question in the Ask About Teens section, titled "IS HE WORTH IT"... you'll see that the boy I like is a jerk too but the only cute handsome jerk on the block.
All I'm trying to say is that Love happens, you may like it or not.
But soon you will find yourself dreaming and day dreaming about him non stop thinking he's going to be your prince charming
My friend told me to not get my hopes up and that's exactly what I'm doing.

So there's my advice to you, "Do not get your Hopes Up.....even if you think hes worth it, expect the good but don't forget the bad"
