    Celing fan parts
I have purchased a display unit from Home Depot, it is a 60 inch "sidewinder" fan nickel plated. I need to find the piece which will make it a "flush mount" since the display came with an extension pole which I cannot use. Can u help me?

While it doesn't exactly make it a flush-mount, I've done this in the past. Cut the downrod to about 4" and redrill the hole in the bottom end (i.e. measure from the top). Now you have a really short rod--almost a flush-mount, but not quite. Just make sure you don't cut it too short, since you need room to hook the ball end into the bracket and attach the ceiling canopy.

    Hope this helps,

If it is flush mountable, you simply remove the downrod and affix the canopy to the top of the motor assembly.

Wally's idea of a shorter downrod will also work.
