    Harbor breeze ceiling fan
    I am trying to put up a harbor breeze ceiling fan and also bought a remote for this and can't find a place to put the electrical part for the remote. Any suggestions

    You would probably install it in the ceiling canopy that attaches to the ceiling (i.e. where the downrod hooks into. The wires from the fan come up the downrod and through a little ball. Connect your remote control receiver to these wires and also to the power wires coming from the ceiling.

    Turn the electricity off first!

    Yes, the remote receiver goes in the ceiling canopy between the mounting and the outlet box.

I replaced the pull switch for fan motor. In the process of rewiring the new pull switch, the black wire from old switch was not connected, so when I replaced with new switch I connected black wires. The light works but fan doesn't. The switch is a 4-wire pull chain switch.
