    Harbor breeze ceiling fan
I am trying to put up a harbor breeze ceiling fan and also bought a remote for this and can't find a place to put the electrical part for the remote. Any suggestions

You would probably install it in the ceiling canopy that attaches to the ceiling (i.e. where the downrod hooks into. The wires from the fan come up the downrod and through a little ball. Connect your remote control receiver to these wires and also to the power wires coming from the ceiling.

    Turn the electricity off first!

Yes, the remote receiver goes in the ceiling canopy between the mounting and the outlet box.
