What's the best way to tie into my furnace trunk line to add heating to my basement?
I need to run some vents from my furnaces main trunk lines into a couple rooms in my basement that I am finishing. I've built soffits to enclose the trunk lines but now I need to cut into them to heat a couple rooms per the building inspector.

DAVE Ermelling - See if you can find a joint( WHERE THE PICES WERE PUT TOGREATHER AT)or you will have to cut a hole in the side of the trunk line and install either metal or flex pipe into main trunk and go to where you want it in each room . The round flex pipe around here is a lot cheaper then the square metal and is a whole lot easier to work with Don't forget the defissures. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS < IF I Have heLped rate my answer below ::: F.B.E.
