I had a water leak in the master bath. It required removing the toilet and shower/bath combo and replacing the floor.
Two questions:
I broke the shower drain line at the trunk connection. The 4" four way receiver is broken. Can this be reconnected and epoxy or glued back together, as this is not under much pressure?
I will be replacing the bathroom floor with new pressure treated plywood, hardboard, and then ceramic tile. How do I raise the toilet flange so I can run the tile under the base of the toilet?

Is that 4' pipe PVC or cast. If its PVC just cut the whole thing out and start with new parts. Be sure to use the purple primer on PVC. Is the flange alreadt set on the pipe? If so you can add PVC spacer rings to the flange to adjust the height. You want the bottom of the ring to be even with the new floor surface.

It is 4" PVC. I think I have enough to cut everything out and replace it. I have to reroute the shower drain to a center location anyway. Yes, the flange is already attached. I will look into the spacer rings.

The spacer rings are located in the store aisle right next to all the PVC flanges. Looks loke a white 6" disk with a 4" hole in the center, drop right onto the flange over the bolts.
