    Insulation installation
I have read many articles stating that insulation application is best left to a pro as much of it's effectiveness is dependent on proper installation. Also some articles imply that the cost of insulation coupled with equipment rental make it only slightly more affordable to do it yourself. Any opinions?

When I built my home it was cheaper to pay the pros than to do it myself. That may not always be the case however. If you are adding to you attic or just doing one room it's probably much cheaper to do it yourself. Check cost of material and a call to an insulation company will answer you question however.
