Well its in the hallway now, but wanting to move it to a master bedroom walk in closet, I have no experience in plumbing but I did put in a new sink in the bathroom... :p

Homesweethome.. this job involves plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. It sounds like quite a bit of work, but if you intend to do say... just the plumbing... well then, maybe not so bad.

Could you let me and KISS know.. is this a gas dryer? Are you planning to do all phases of work yourself (and friends?), etc. Answer these questions and we will get back to you quickly. Thank you.

This is not a gas dryer, I'm not a plumber but really all I am doing is moving some plastic pipes from one room to another. But I will let you 2 know how this goes

Moving plastic pipes is not as easy as it sounds. These plastic pipes need to be vented properly, sloped properly, trapped properly, etc. Also, washers typically drain a lot of water in a short amount of time, so you need to make sure your pipes are sized properly to accommodate (a properly sized laundry room sink that the washer drains into can help with this). As far as moving an electric dryer, you are working with a ton of juice, so make sure you know what you are doing.

I have done a lot of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, so I would definitely do it myself. If you are comfortable doing these sorts of things, then I definitely recommend doing it yourself. Just make sure you know the codes. Doing it right the first time will save you a ton of time and money down the road.
