    Kenmore stack washer/dryer - washer makes noise during wash
    My son has a Kenmore stack washer/dryer that makes a noise that sounds something like a gear when washing only. Could this be a transmission problem? Jay

    Could be the transimission but if it is a grinding noise during agitation and or spinning it may be the coupling between the motor and transmission.

    My Kenmore stack on unit made a grinding noise. It turned out to be the water pump- $50.00
