power outage = problems with neptune washer and dryer
With the recent power outage in our area we have encountered problems with both our washer and dryer.
    1. Dryer is a maytag neptune #MDG5500AWW serial #36643353ZM
It will ignite the gas on initial start-up and then the flame will go out after a short time (aprox 30 sec to one minute). It will not relight for the duration of the cycle until you cancel the cycle and try to restart a new cycle and then the same thing happens again. From other post I have seen I would believe it is the Gas Soleniod Coil. Would you all agree or is there something else I should be looking at?
    2. The washer is a maytag Neptune #MAH5500BWW serial #73915855ZS
It seems to work fine until it is finished with the wash. IT then comes up with the error code of "OD or is it DO" which is the door open code(?). At this time there is no other function available. It will not wash another cycle until we unplug it and plug it back in. reseting the washer? What may be the problem?
    Any help will be great!
