Removing blades on H. Bay fan
We've recently moved into a house with a Hampton Bay ceiling fan (model AC-527 NN) already installed in the kitchen. I think it's a fairly new model. Since we didn't buy, we don't have the instruction manual and the "king of fan" website isn't much help as rickj mentioned.
We would like to paint the ceiling and would like to remove the blades to facilitate the paint job, but can't figure out how to remove them. It looks like they are attached inside the "body" of the fan. Also, the light is really dim and we would like to change it, but as with the blades we can't figure out how to remove the globe.

    Any help is much appreciated.

You have to remove the light fitter to gain access to the screws that remove the blade brackets from the motor. It sounds like you can't figure out how to remove the light either-- try applying careful pressure on the glass and turning it.

Up until a few days ago I was using the AC to cool down. It started getting cold outside so I switched it to heating.
