Can I put shorter blades on my ceiling fan?
I have an odd shaped nook in my kitchen that needs a ceiling fan. I currently have a light fixture there, so I'll need a fan with at least 3 lights. It's a smaller area, so I can't have a fan more than 36" wide.

Unfortunately that doesn't leave me with many options out there. Fans that small aren't that attractive or interesting... they're mostly white and boring. :(

My question is, can I find a fan I like with longer blades and then replace the blades with shorter ones?

    Yes you can.

Just be sure to look at the mounts closely to be sure that you can find shorter blades that match up with the model you buy. The arrangement of the holes where the blades attach to the mounts varies from brand to brand and model to model.
