    1989 civic burning oil
    I have a 1989 honda civic and it is burning. When I start it up in the morning it smokes a little bit. Once I get on the freeway I don't notice it smoke. But when I get to work and park the car it smoke a little bit. I have noticed that is smokes only when I am in around 1st through 3rd gear. It is not leaking any oil on the ground. It has been burning about a quart of oil every 400 miles or so. Is it the piston rings? Or maybe the guides? Thanks

    You either need rings or valve guides. More likely,rings.
