Still pregnant but want full custody of my unborn twin girls
When I found out that I was pregnant with twin girls I advised the father and he clearly stated that he wanted nothing to do with them and that I should get rid of them. I decided to keep my babies. I need to know if there is anything thing I can legally do so that he he no claim on my children. I'm worried that if anything happens to me he might want the girls and take them away from my parents whom I want as legal guardians should anything happen to me.

There is only one thing you can do, find someone to marry you and adopt the twins. Otherwise, if he wants to exercise his parental rights, the courts will probably allow it.

First off, nothing can be done until the children are born.

Once they are born, if he is not on the birth certificate, he has no legal claim to the children. But until the children are legally adopted by a spouse, the father at anytime could request a paternity test and upon being proven the father he could get added to the birth certificate and get visitation.

Biological Parental relationships should be encouraged. Even if the families are extended, children deserve to have a relationship with their natural parents unless they are placed in dangerous situation.

There are many reasons these relationships exist, but look at the discipline problems and lack of respect we have today from teens. Just Maybe it is somehow directly related to the breakdown of biological, natural parental relationships that we obviously need.

We are so quick to find convience for ourselves and forget that it is no longer about us when children are involved. Remember, They are 1st. They shouldn't suffer because of deceisions we made. There maybe exceptions.
