Eating good food and excersice will trim you. Sit ups are good to tighten the stomach muscles. Excersicing in general will reduce fat by burning the calories.

Start an excersice routine. Go to your local gym, they can help you out. Start slowly and increase with time. Don't start too strong because then you are more likely to give up.

If you can't afford a gym membership (the monthly fees are not too bad, but the application fee... jeez!), try this:

Write down what you eat on a normal day. Literally. Everything. To your afternoon soda, to your late night bag of chips.

Pm me on what you eat and I'll try to help you out.

People usually get frustrated because they work out, but they don't lose weight. A LOT of losing weight is watching what you eat. Watch what you eat, eat a whole balanced meal, drink plenty of water, and start an exercise plan. You don't have to kill yourself at the gym 5 days a week to lose 10 lbs in a month.

Make sure to talk to your doctor before starting a diet/exercise program. He/she can probably give you some good advice too.
Try to eat healthy foods. Some things that have helped me are: not eating fried foods, eating a salad before the main course to fill up on veggies, drinking plenty of water, eat a piece of fruit or a granola bar for a snack if you get hungry, and make sure you eat 3 meals a day. Sometimes people skip meals to try to lose weight, but that actually makes it harder to. Also make sure that you still get your proper calcium intake.
When it comes to exercise, the key is to find a type of exercise that you like. If you hate it, you won't stick with it. Do you love to dance? Get a dance/aerobic workout video. Do you love the water? See if there are water aerobic classes at the YWCA or someplace. Find whatever you like that you will stick with. Joining a gym is a great way to lose weight. If you don't like the price tag that comes along with it, see if you can get a group of friends together 2 or 3 times a week for a workout. Try to find a workout buddy that you could go for walks with.
Try to do some exercises that target the ab muscles. Try some crunches or sit-ups. Just make sure that you are doing them correctly so that you don't injure your back or neck. Also, I used to do martial arts not that long ago (hurt my shoulder -had to stop for a while), and I found that the kicks really toned my abs and butt. I bought one of those kickboxing videos, and it is super for abs and has music I like too. Yoga is a good exercise too.
Focus on the exercise making you healthier overall, not on the body parts you don't like. Just focus on your body's health, and, before you know it, you will be admiring those abs in the mirror! Good luck!

You need to start with regular exercise, as soon as your are able, don't know how long ago you had your baby, but once you can exercise make it 3-4 times a week, you can do something as easy as walking, try for 1/2 mile work up to a mile a day, if the weather permits walk the baby with you. Swimming, dancing, aerobics, resistance training, weight training, biking jogging, you name it, if you can at least do 30 minutes a day and work up from that to 1 hr. Then hand in hand you have to eat healthy, natural foods, read nutritional labels and stick to the one portion serving, cut out all fried, fast, foods that contain excess sodium, fats, sugar, snack on small amounts of nuts, seeds, yogurt, fruits or veggies pieces. If your using white flour products, switch to whole grain like wheat, bread, cereals, rice and pastas, Make sure your getting at least 3 servings of lowfat/skim dairy like milk, yogurt, cheese, it will help you lose body fat a lot more quick. And choose lean meats, 3 oz. of skinless chicken, turkey breast, fish loin type meats, stay away from processed foods, and cook in olive oil, either bake, broil or steam. Don't forget you can get protein from beans, and legumes and you should have small amounts (3 oz. of protein with each meal. ) Eat a good breakfast it will help your metabolism get off to a good start, and drink lots of water throughout the day instead of presweetened drinks. It's going to take a little time to get rid of the baby weight, but with small changes you will see great results, just stick with it!

Ok I am going to start by saying that everyone above is correct about the dieting and exercising. My thing is if you have decreased muscle tone in your stomach then you could have a diastasis. I have it and I am getting suchered with this ceasarian I am having in a couple of days that will help decrease it since my babies stretched me so much.

To check to see if you have a diastasis, lay on the floor with your knees bent and your feet about 6 inches from your butt. Place a finger 2 inches above and below your navel. Lift only your head. Place your fingers in the ridge (if you have one, if not then you don't have a diastasis) if the gap is 2 or more finger widths apart then you have a diastasis that needs to be closed.

There are exercises that can help with this but DO NOT DO CRUNCHES because they will make the separation larger. Here are some links to help and teach you the exercises.
