    How to replace plastic coupling kenmore 80 washing machine
    How to replace plastic coupling from transmission to motor on Kenmore 80 series direct drive washing machine. I' ve located the problem, just don't know how to remove old part.

    If it is a direct drive I believe you have to pull the tub.

    Remove the motor. Should just be clips to remove. Then you can remove the coupling and replace

    For someone not so knowledgeable... how would one remove the motor? The appliance guy said our 80 series was not worth fixing because it needed this repair. I don't see how a $20 part is "not worth fixing."
